In late 1997 while on a publicity tour between filming the fourth and fifth seasons of Hercules, Kevin Sorbo experienced an aneurysm in his shoulder which caused four strokes. Show producers had guest stars fill in for him while he recovered but he never really got back to his former Herculean-self. 
 

Outcasted

After the health scare, he did some reevaluating. However, nowadays Sorbo argues that he was blacklisted by Hollywood for being an outspoken Christian conservative, and had to turn to faith-based movies in order to continue his career.
