Several of his past partners have filed restraining orders against him. He also suffers from alcoholism and manic depression. After the initial abuse allegations came out, Hollywood stopped casting him.

Gibson had a truly prolific career in Hollywood. He was around every corner, in every film you could think of, and had many credits across projects. He directed, produced, and acted in nearly anything he had a hand in, and he had one of the industry's most promising careers. If only his personal life was a little cleaner.
