Leaked footage of the video surfaced on the Internet that portrayed him taking part in various explicit sex acts and he had to issue an apology to underage fans who may have seen it. His language was considered "demonizing" by workers in the industry, though.

Calum McSwiggan posted a photo of himself in a hospital gown, claiming he'd been jumped after leaving a gay club and then treated poorly by police when trying to report the accident. "I’ve never felt so terrified to be a gay man in the public eye,” he wrote. The real story is that he'd actually been arrested for vandalism, and both parties were guilty of assault.
