The annual Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival will take place virtually for the first time ever this year. The event was supposed to mark an exciting display, but the COVID-19 pandemic has made that impossible. Like many organizations, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse is making things work online.
The fair's virtual showcase is now live and will run until the end of the month. There are over 180 artists featured on the Downtown Committee of Syracuse's website. There are categories for ceramics, sculpture, photography, woodworking, and more.
Most work will be available for purchase directly through the variou artists' websites and social media platforms. The committee says next year's festival is tentatively scheduled for July 23-25, and that will be the 50th anniversary.
