She has honorary doctorates from several universities and founded The Heinz Awards program, which celebrates contributions to the environment.

Clare Bronfman, $500 million

Bronfman is the heiress to the Seagram Liquor fortune. Her father was Edgar Bronfman, Sr., who founded the company. She also has a decorated equestrian career, which she took up at age 17.
