Despite her famous songs like "Nothing Compares 2 U," O'Connor is known for being one of music's most outspoken performers, and it's gotten her in trouble more than a few times. During a 1992 SNL performance, she changed the lyrics to Bob Marley's "War" with lines that detailed the rampant child abuse cases occurring at the hands of the Catholic Church. She also ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II live on camera.
