Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Solomon Northup, a freed slave who lived in the south before the Civil War. This 2013 biopic displays the horror of being a slave in the 19th century. All freed slaves ran the risk of being kidnapped and resold, despite their freedom status.

Two reporters, played by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, accidentally uncover the connection between a White House staff member and the 1972 attempted burglary of the DPH at the Watergate hotel. These two reporters, named Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, were the sole reason why Richard Nixon was forced to resign once they got their story straight.
