This 2016 biography documents the lives of three women named Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae). These three Black women were the sole reason that NASA was able to perform the proper calculations to send a man to the moon in the 1960s. These unsung heroes have only recently been recognized as historical figures of substantial magnitude.
