Delaware Shelter Hosts 'Indoguration' for Joe Biden's Rescue Pup

Major Biden has some major supporters! The soon-to-be First Dog was once a shelter pup from the Delaware Humane Association in Wilmington, waiting for a forever home. Joe and Dr. Jill Biden decided to take the German Shepard home with them once and for all.

"We are so happy to welcome Major to the Biden family," said the Biden family in a statement shortly after the adoption, "and we are grateful to the Delaware Humane Association for their work in finding forever homes for Major and countless other animals."

Joining Biden's other dog Champ, Major will soon be headed to his new digs in the White House, but he will never forget where he came from and they won't forget him! To celebrate the new role, the Delaware shelter will be hosting an "Indoguration" party on January, 17th. This comes only a few days prior to Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20th. The virtual event will be brought to viewers by the DHA and Pumpkin Pet Insurance.

The special "indoguration" is asking all pet lovers and their furry friends to attend. In addition to their support, the DHA is also requesting a minimum donation of $10 to participate. These donations will go towards the DHA which will, according to a release from the organization and Pumpkin Pet Insurance, "help support the shelter’s vital pet and pet owner community services."

With Major in the White House and the DHA showing their support, hopefully, more pups like him can find their forever homes.
