Aside from his wonderful voice, Seal is recognizable by his facial scars. For a long time, fans wondered what caused them, and seal never let on what it might be...until one day. They're a result of a disorder called Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (or "butterfly rash), an autoimmune disease that shows up in the skin, specifically on the nose and cheeks.
