Take a note from Betty White and celebrate your birthday safely in quarantine this year. If a big-time celebrity like the Golden Girls star can follow the rules to ring in her 99th birthday, we all can. If you can't wear your mask for yourself, at least wear it for her. Her big day is on January 17th and has some low-key plans. "You probably didn't ask, but I’ll tell you anyway," White teased. "What am I doing for my birthday? Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day."
The Pet Set is White's show from the 1970s, and featured performances by Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Doris Day, and James Stewart. Alongside the human cast, White's collection of furry friends such as "dogs, cats, birds, horses, tigers, bears, elephants, lions, wolves, gorillas, cougars, seals, kangaroos, zebras, and eagles" was also featured.
"The Pet Set is one of my favorite shows," White said in a news release. "I’m thrilled it’s going to be seen again after all these years." Looks like White's birthday is going to be full of her favorite things, and most importantly, safe.
