Bette Midler landed one of her most iconic roles in the 1993 classic Hocus Pocus. She played Winifred Sanderson, the head witch in charge of the historically notorious Sanderson sisters of Salem. She and her witch sisters were executed for their witchcraft and brought back to life on Halloween night to wreak some havoc.
