33-Year-Old CEO Found Dismembered in his NYC Apartment

Fahim Saleh was found dead and dismembered in his apartment by his sister. Saleh was a venture capitalist and CEO of Gokada, Nigeria's motorcycle ride-hail company. He was last seen on CCTV footage in his apartment building. Saleh was getting into an elevator unaccompanied while a man dressed in black followed him in a short time later.

Authorities believe that he was murdered by that mysterious man. The elevators in that building go directly into the unit, so authorities believe that the assailant began his assault once they got to the apartment.

When Saleh's sister went to check on him, she first saw his torso in the living room. His other body parts were strewn throughout the apartment and stuffed into individual bags.

Right now, authorities don't have a motive for the murder. His family released a statement, saying, "The headlines talk about a crime we still cannot fathom. Fahim is more than what you are reading. He is so much more. His brilliant and innovative mind took everyone who was a part of his world on a journey and he made sure never to leave anyone behind."

The investigation is ongoing, but many people have speculations as to why a successful millennial man would be the target for such a cruel murder. Many believe that his ties with Nigeria, and the fact that his company was banned due to a motorcycle ban in the city of Lagos, could be a factor.

His family concludes, "There are no words or actions to provide any of us comfort except the capture of the person who exhibited nothing short of evil upon our loved one."
